Member information must be downloaded at a minimum once a month, preferably at the end of the month. Failure to do download member information on a regular basis will result in inaccurate data on your WellQuest check in system and will jeopardize member reimbursements.
Database Download Instructions:
Front Desk Computer without Internet Access:
Utilizing any computer with Internet access, this download must be done with Microsoft Internet Explorer, not Netscape, as the browser. Netscape installs extra characters in the file. (America Online uses Internet Explorer.)
- Click on the link that says “Click to download membership database”
- The file will open, displaying membership data
- In the main menu bar, choose File (these are the words written across the top of the page: File, Edit, View, etc.).
- Click “Save As” on the pop-up menu.
- A Window will pop up that says “Save Web Page.”
- Install a floppy disk in you’re A Drive
- On the box that says “Save Web Page”, there will be a small text box near the top that says “Save In:” with an arrow on the right side of that box. Click on the arrow, and choose 3.5 Floppy from the menu. Click the “Save” button in the lower right hand corner of the “Save Web Page” box. This will download the file to your “A” drive.
- Remove the floppy disk from the computer you are using, take it to your front desk computer and insert.
- Double Click on My Computer
- Double Click on the A drive
- Single click on the file “members.txt”
- Click on Edit on the main menu bar along the top.
- Click on Copy on the drop down menu
- Close out the A drive window by clicking the X in the upper right hand corner.
- The My Computer window should still be open, if it isn’t, Double click on it.
- Double Click on the C drive.
- Double Click on the Program Files folder
- Double Click on the WellQuest folder
- Click on Edit on the main menu bar.
- Click on Paste on the drop down menu. (If this is the second time or more that you have done this process, a message will pop that says “The file C:\Program Files\WellQuest\members.txt already exists. Do you want to replace it?” Click the yes button.)
- The file “Members.txt” will appear in the WellQuest folder
- Close out all the windows
- Double Click on the “WellQuest interface”.
- The first time you open the WellQuest Software, you will have to enter your club’s ID number. This has been provided for you at the beginning of these directions.
- In the upper right hand corner, there is only one choice, “Utilities”. Click that.
- Click on “Update WellQuest Members”.
All WellQuest members will now be in the database.
Front Desk Computer with Internet Access:
- Repeat steps 1 through 5 as described above.
- There is no need to put a floppy disk in the A drive
- Click the arrow next to the text box that says “Save In”
- Double click on the C drive
- Double click on Program Files folder
- Double click on WellQuest folder
- Click the Save button in the lower right hand corner. (If this is the second time or more that you have done this process, a message will pop up that says: “The file C:\Program Files\Wellquest\members.txt already exists. Do you want to replace it? Click yes)
- Close out all windows
- Double click on the WellQuest software interface.
- Click on Utilities.
- Click on Update Member Information
All WellQuest members should now be in the database.
